It's not too early to think about Valentine's Day, is it?

I didn't think so 💁‍♀️

Valentine's Day was a big deal in my family when I was growing up. It was my great grandmother's birthday and anniversary wrapped in one day!

Every year, we'd sing "Happy Annabirthintine's day" and she absolutely loved it as far as I can remember.

Even though she's no longer with us, I still wake up every year on Valentine's Day and think "Happy Annabirthintines day".

This year, I wanted to made a super simple chocolate tart that my nanny would have loved. It's easily customizable, too!

How to Make A Chocolate Tart

So, for this particular recipe, I made a graham cracker crust by using:

1 1/4 Cups Graham Cracker Crumbs
1/4 Cup Coconut Sugar
5 TBSP Unsalted Butter, Melted

You can throw a dash of salt or vanilla in too, if you'd like - but I left them out.

For the most important part (the chocolate filling, duh) I used:

8 oz Dark Chocolate
1 Can Coconut Milk

Feel free to use 8 oz of milk chocolate if that's what you like! I'm sure you could use 8 oz of white chocolate if you liked it, too (not for me, though).

chocolate tart finished

Preheat your oven to 350 and begin making your crust. All you have to do is add your graham cracker crumbs, coconut sugar, and melted butter in a large bowl and mix well!

Once combined, pour it into your tart mold and pack it down with your hands.

Bake for about 8-10 minutes or until lightly golden brown.

While your crust cools, you can make your filling.

Add your chocolate and coconut milk to a microwave safe bowl and melt until there are no more chocolate chunks. Then, pour it into your tart and chill overnight.

Make sure you give the crust time to cool before pouring your chocolate filling in.

And that's it! Your chocolate tart is finished and you can top it with whatever you'd like.

I used fresh strawberries and roasted hazelnuts because cravings, but I'm so interested to hear what you plan on putting on yours!

Yummy chocolate tart

Happy (early) Valentine's Day - hope you enjoy this one 😊💕
